Dressed in thirty...

After I had my weight loss surgery a year ago I have lost quite a bit of weight... and I can now see the woman I think I am in the mirror... For the longest time the person staring back at me, simply was not anyone I could recognize...

Am I satisfied? Uhm... some days I am, some days I am not.
I am still curvy, and somewhat overweight... but the diffrence is still striking. I wish I could loose those few extra pounds... but keeping up the diet regime is getting harder and I need to pull myself together if I want to stay like THIS and not gain the weight again...
However, I can not see myself as a thin woman, I will always be curvy. And I want to be as well...

But for those good days, when I feel absolutely fabulous, I love to get dressed... and I have worked on my style these past months. Creating a fun, colourful and vintage look for myself. I love getting dressed, and I belive I am doing it very well now, at 31 years, I finally see ME...

That dress was a steal, at a thirft shop. I absolutely love it! Perfect pattern and colours! Just enough cuteness and whimsy!
And now that weather is finally thawing on us, I can pull out the leather biker jacket I bought last summer... I love that jacket, all the details!
I am sucker for details..
so maybe there will be more style post from now on, mixed in with cottage delights.

I was never any good at stilts by the way! :)
And just for comparison... this was taken at my heaviest... September 2011
and now its bed time ;)

  6. It is so hard to lose weight and as women we are so hard on ourselves. I look back at photos of myself when I weighed 120 pounds and I remember that I thought my thighs were heavy. I am much heavier now and would give anything to have those thighs! I know of no woman who is completely happy with her body, even those who, to me, look perfect.
I think you look great. I love that you are showing off your cute style. Most importantly, you look happy. Just be the best you can be, don't compare yourself to anyone else, and be kind to yourself.
